Larry Brown, Renaissance Man

You guys are well aware that I know very little about the NBA.  So when I claimed last night at the Map Room that Larry Brown had been a VP for the 76ers for the past two seasons I took little offense to Brian and Paul rebuffing this claim.  But alas, I was right.  It will probably be harder for me to prove my other assertion that Brown was the reason that both the Sixers and Villanova exceeded expectations this year.  Could Brown be credited for the Phillies' play-off berth last season?  Yes.

All-time Top 10 Wisconsin Badgers Mens Basketball Players

After more thought and a little research this morning, this is what I came up with.

1) Michael Finley
2) Alando Tucker
3) Devin Harris
4) Mike Wilkinson
5) Mike Kelley
6) Kirk Penney
7) Kammron Taylor
8) Michael Flowers
9) Mark Vershaw
10) Roy Boone

Duany Duany is not even close, with quality names like Andy Kowske not cracking the top 10. Ty Calderwood probably deserves a spot in there somewhere too, but I don't remember him too well.

Also, did you know that Chris Chambers was a back-up guard his freshman year, and that Vershaw is now the head basketball coach at Monmouth? Apparently he also played a year professionally in Finland.
